Masters Thesis
In my final year of studies at Edinburgh I worked under the supervision of Dr. James Aird to identify hidden supermassive black holes through their X-ray emissions. The culmination of my efforts are in the report below. This project was a computational effort, requiring large amounts of data analysis in order to achieve the result. In addition there are several astronomical techniques used throughout in order to correct for shortcomings within the data (e.g., K-correction, further investigation using optical and infrared data, etc.).
Research Intern Project
This is the report I created for my research internship in the summer of 2023. I performed my work under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Gavin Melaugh and Andreas Werlberger. The aim of this report is not to be overly technical or come to dramatic conclusions; it is a summary of the work I did and a set of guidelines to replicate the experiment.
